Where did we get the name?
The name "Burnt Ships Realty Group," was inspired from reading a likely familiar war story. In the year 1519, Hernán Cortés arrived in the New World with six hundred men and, upon arrival, made history by destroying his ships. This sent a clear message to his men: There is no turning back. The way we interpreted this story was an extreme example of 100% commitment to success.
This same attitude is what we bring to the table when working with our clients and our affiliates. We are 100% committed to their success, and will do everything in our power to help them achieve said success. The way we do so is by using new technology and current market related strategies to help our clients succeed in buying/selling homes or helping our affiliate's businesses' grow to new heights. Who is Coletyn Curtis?
My name is Coletyn Curtis. I am Utah born, and spent most of my younger years growing up in the small town of Fairview, Utah. Growing up in a small town like Fairview, that sits at the base of the beautiful Manti-Lasal mountain range, allowed me to develop my love and appreciation for the outdoors. I enjoy spending the free time that I have in the mountains. Whether it’s playing guitar around the campfire while camping with friends, skiing in the winter, or treading a new section of a river while fly fishing, the mountains are my second home! This love for the outdoors is one of the largest reasons that I love Utah. With the Wasatch Mountain range, the Cottonwood's, and the red rocks of Southern Utah, our state is truly one of a kind.
I was inspired to get into Real Estate after going through the process of buying my first home. There was an eye-opening moment for me during that process that secured my belief that this career path was my calling. It was then that I saw the difference, and the impact, that a professional agent could have in the process of buying/selling a home. Without having eventually worked with an amazing agent to get my first home, I don’t think I would be a homeowner today!
I love being able to now help people make these same decisions that I made. I take pride in truly making a difference in their lives by getting them what they want!
